Vehicle Type: GUY ARAB 5LW/6LW
Fleet No.'s: 56-66

Vehicles in this gallery have an individual page for each bus.

During World War II only eleven new buses could be purchased, all were Guy Arabs chassis with ultility bodies by Pickering (56 and 57) and Massey (58-66).

The two Pickering bodied 5LW vehicles were sold shortly after the war to Sunderland Corporation.

The Massey bodied 6LW vehicles had a much longer life, mainly due to eight of them being re-bodied by East Lancs Coachbuilders between July 1954 and May 1956.

On re-entering service these vehicles became the first to carry the livery of a lighter shade of green and without lining out!
