About the library:
The Blackburn Transport Photo Library is a comprehensive collection of images of trams and buses from every era of public transport in Blackburn

The first single deck buses in Blackburn were Leyland TS2 with Leyland front entrance 30-seat bodies No.'s 1-6, starting service in November 1929.

The livery continued on from the trams being dark olive green & ivory. Originally the roofs were painted white, but this was altered on first re-paint to olive green.

Two similar batches of TS3's and TS4's, arrived in 1931 and 1932, numbered 19-22 and 25-32 respectively

They began to be withdrawn from the late 1940's and the last, ending service in 1951
