| These fourteen Leyland
TD5 with Leyland 56-seat bodies were the largest quantity
of one type of vehicle ordered up to that point in time.
No.'s 40 and 41 arrived in late June 1938, followed
by No.'s 42 and 43 in November. The remaining ten vehicles,
No.'s 44-53 arrived in March 1939.
All the TD5's saw almost 20-years service in Blackburn.
